Configuring the Ping Agent to communicate with omosd

You can configure the Ping Agent to send messages to omosd in the following instances:

• ping result
• ping-result changes state
• unreachable first-ping-result after startup
• reachable first-ping-result after startup

How to configure the Ping Agent variable

Configure the local field of the trigger variable as follows, 1 to notify omosd of every ping-result, or, 0 to notify omosd only when a ping-result changes state:

Configure the local field of the ok_startup variable as follows, 1 to notify omosd of reachable first-ping-result after startup, or, 0 not to notify omosd.

Configure the local field of the fail_startup variable as follows, 1 to notify omosd of an unreachable first-ping-result after startup, or, 0 not to notify omosd.
